I have come to regard November as the older, harder man's October. I appreciate the early darkness and cooler temperatures. It puts my mind in a different place than October. I am finally sharing a few pictures of the Wings of the Dove, an adorable bottom-up semi-circular lace shawl, from Amirisu issue 16, the same from which I knit the Summer in Norway sweater. I started to knit this shawl in August but I had to put it on hold for some time and could only conclude it near late October.

I decided to knit this shawl with some tweed yarn that I had in my stash for a while, the Soft Donegal, a fingering weight blend with wool & cashmere, from Debbie Bliss. I love tweed yarn and the speckles that appear now and then. This is a very beautiful yarn and I think it looks great in this design.

The shawl fits neatly across my shoulders and it is a bless to wrap it around myself on this moody and windy days. 🍂
