Bonjour Paris

In late October, Jorge and I (and our furry cat Darwin) went for a few days to Paris, “La Ville Lumière”.

Close to five hours of driving and we were there. Passing close by unforgettable buildings and monuments already day dreaming on what would be the upcoming days. I have been there many years ago if only for a fleeting moment. It was good to see Paris again and to not just relive it by Nostalgia alone.

There is something about Paris. When I think of it so many things draw in my mind. From its exquisite atmosphere, the Parisian rooftops and chimney pots, the architecture, the open boulevards…  Inspiration pours out of everything in droves. A quick stroll early in the morning brings the aroma of fresh baked bread & pastries, a polite gentleman calmly reading a newspaper while drinking his espresso, a painter just musing one of the sculptures scattered amongst the city. And the City of Light couldn’t have a better fit with all the golden ornaments just shinning back the light encompassing the city in a golden glare just so unique and endearing as Paris could have.

I love Paris and I enjoy wandering around the city for hours on end. During our stay we probably exceeded ourselves during outs walk and reached an average of 30,000 steps per day... the eagerness of seeing everything and just a tiny bit more just got the best out of us.

Over the next few days more posts about Paris will light up this blog. ♡
