Versailles Pt.1

Versailles Paris

While visiting Paris there is a visit that cannot be forsaken.

Versailles.

A full day at least needs to be dedicated to marvel at what has been built by the Frenchmen.

It was early in the morning when we arrived and entered into the Palace only to leave at dusk due to the opulence of the Palace and surrounding grounds. Versailles swallows us with its magnitude and splendor as soon as the Palace is in sight.

While going past the vast living rooms that were connected by endless mirrored hallways one could not stop wondering how the Monarchy used to live in such luxury and without any regards to the common people.

History was made and tailored in these walls in the days past.

Louis XIV built it.

The French Revolution took decisive steps within these chambers and Napoleon expanded his empire while calling Versailles home.

We can feel petite while walking around those corridors and room full of history & grandeur and through the gardens filled with beautiful sculptures.

Enjoy the curated selection of the photographs I took while meandering Versailles.
