Eltz Castle

Germany is famous for having numerous castles and palaces that when you are near them something inside makes us feel like we are entering a fairytale.

So on the other day we took an opportunity to do a visit to one of these castles. It’s just like doing a little time travel and being able to admire a place that resists time. A world beyond this world.

The sky twisted into pastel colors as the sun rose on our way and a few hours later we arrived at the beautiful Eltz, a romantic medieval castle from the 12th century, which is located in one of the many valleys that compose the Moseltal.

A small mist still lingered over the castle, giving to this place an even more magical looking feeling. The castle is framed by a small river and a thick forest. It stands there immutable, guarding the woods and its animals. A silent giant towering from above while the forest transmutes from lavish green to dirt brown to nothing as the trees stand naked. Towering from above waiting for the coming season, watching Life adapt itself, always eager to stand proud and mighty against all odds. Always watching. Always waiting. Always there.
