It started last summer when I knit Birds of a Feather shawl and joined for the first time a KAL at ravelry. It was fun to have a group of nice ladies all knitting & sharing projects of the Laine issue 2. I wasn’t expecting to at the time to win something but it happened. So by the end of summertime on my mail arrived 4 cakes of Le Petit Lambswool from Biches & Bûches. I just adore the rustic feel. I was very pleased to knit with this yarn and I know that I will purchase some for a divine sweater that I have in my mind for a few time already.

I started by searching for a pattern that would fit the wool itself and that at the same time was appealing to me, it didn’t took long to find the Nemeton shawl, a design by Justyna Lorkowska on Amirisu Fall 2016. This shawl was love at first sight! I’m not a kind of knitter that knits the same thing over and over but I’m considering making another one in the near future. I love the arrow‒like construction and the combination of garter with cable work, which is pretty much straightforward and not boring at all.

After a night of snowfall in this late winter I had to take my shawl for a small walk by a frozen lake.
