Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like. ― Lao Tzu
Winter is coming. Seasons transitions are as leisurely as a soft lullaby. I watch the light changing into the house from drumming sunlight to a haze & sharp low grey beam. At dawn & dusk the skies are washed in pastel. Days keep getting shorter and the air is colder & rough. Somehow winter will make everything slower as if we all needed a time for recover; a pause in the life to connect & reflect.
This year has been tough… has been a lot about revelation & letting go. At some point in our life we will find ourselves with too many variables in our hands, an amount of possibilities that our story could go… We all face the unpredictable & unknown that is the future and no matter how lost & overwhelmed we may feel I’ve been learning to look at things without questioning too much. Just keep going… because the true power dwells in the present moment.
Currently I’m in a phase of adjustment of my life, closing some kind of cycle. I see things in a different way now…
Anyway, a few days ago I knit this wintery super-bulky scarf. A quick-project with 30 mm needles and two balls of Miss Wool in a mid-grey shade, both from Schoppel Wolle, which I found at Retrosaria. I opted for the garter stitch and added some tassels in the ends. It’s more than 2 meters long! I confess that knitting jumbo was something that I wanted to try it for awhile. I crave to knit some cozy blankets for winter days where I can cuddle myself in.
Keep you warm,
